The 3M™ Aqua-Pure™ AP802 Whole House Large Diameter Water Filter Blue with Plastic Housing together with various cartridges filters all incoming water throughout the entire home. The universal 2-high housing design allows for use on both chlorinated (municipal) and non-chlorinated (well water) systems. Various cartridge options exist to reduce sediment, chlorine taste and odor.
The heavy-duty head assembly of the AP802 with 1" NPT inlet/outlet connections helps provide unrestricted flow rates of up to 45 gallons per minute (gpm) / 170.3 liters per minute (lpm) to meet the needs of most residential single family homes. The universal 2-high housing design is ideal for larger homes where high flow rates exist. The 2-high housing design with our 2-high replacement cartridges also allows for higher replacement cartridge life and/or capacities, as well as reducing cartridge change-out frequency as compared to our 1-high replacement cartridges. The built-in pressure relief valve allows for convenient cartridge change-outs by depressurizing the housing, as well as eliminating air from the housing when cartridge change-out is complete.
